Joseph T. Waldo has practiced law since 1978.
Joe has tried over 100 cases on behalf of property
owners facing an eminent domain condemnation.
Believing that public education is as valuable tof
protecting property rights as succeeding in the
courtroom, Joe lectures nationally, writes and
frequently makes media appearances to advocate
for the defense of individual property rights. Joe is
a firm believer that property rights play an integral
role in protecting our civil rights. His firm, Waldo
& Lyle, is the only practice in Virginia dedicated to
Eminent Domain.


KEYNOTE PRESENTER

Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II was elected on
November 3, 2009, to be Attorney General of
Virginia. Since 2002, he has been a Republican
member of the Senate of Virginia, representing
the 37th district in Fairfax County. His experience
as a small business owner and an attorney
uniquely prepared him for his role in the General
Assembly, where he served on the Courts of
Justice Committee. Throughout his legal career,
he has been involved in and focused on property
rights. Even before the Kelo decision, Attorney
General Cuccinelli was one of the leaders in
the General Assembly in drafting and enacting
legislation to protect private property. He has also
been a proponent of a constitutional amendment
that would provide permanent protection to
Virginia property owners. Prior to assuming office
as the Virginia Attorney General, he was partner
and litigator of Cuccinelli & Day, PLLC. His top
priority, however, remains his wife Teiro and seven
children.
